1. Expect identity verification
A platform may ask for a government-issued identity document, a selfie or liveness check, and sometimes proof of address. The exact request can depend on the account, country, payment method and risk review.
Use clear, current documents and make sure the name and date of birth match the information on the account. Avoid edited images or screenshots that hide document details.
2. Payment ownership matters
Using a card, bank account or wallet held in another person’s name can create compliance questions. If a payment method is not yours, check the rules before using it rather than assuming it is acceptable.
Keep evidence of deposits and withdrawals. If support asks about a transaction, a clean record is easier to explain than a chain of transfers between unrelated accounts.
3. Source-of-funds checks can happen
For some accounts or transactions, a service may ask how funds were obtained. Typical evidence can include salary records, bank statements, sale documents or other material showing a legitimate source.
The safest approach is straightforward: use your own funds, keep records and answer compliance questions consistently. Do not create a story to fit a transaction after the fact.
4. Unusual activity can trigger review
Rapid movement of funds, repeated failed payments, multiple accounts, chargebacks, identity mismatches or activity from restricted locations can lead to additional review.
A review does not automatically mean wrongdoing, but it can delay account actions while information is checked. Respond through the official account or support channel and avoid sending identity documents to unofficial contacts.
5. AML rules protect the payment system, not returns
Passing verification does not make an investment or prediction safer. AML/KYC controls are about identity, financial crime and payment integrity; they do not guarantee profits, fair outcomes or suitability for you.
This is an independent educational summary, not Ozoro’s binding AML policy and not legal or compliance advice. Requirements can change and may differ by country, account status and payment provider.
